I love displaying makeup out on my dressing table. I found a round acrylic lipstick holder in Home Sense for about £3 and I like to keep my most used lipsticks in it so they don’t get all muddled up in my lipsticks stash. I recently switched out some of my winter lipsticks with some lighter shades, so I thought I’d share my 6 most reached for lipsticks.
MAC Heroine is the only MAC lipstick I actually use on a regular basis. Heroine is a Matte formula and lasts really well without being drying on the lips. I love pairing this lipstick with a nice golden eye look.
Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Colour in Pink Blossom
This lipstick from Bobbi Brown is a really pretty light pink shade. The formula is insanely creamy, so you only need a tiny bit of product to get a great colour payoff. I found this product works best when blended in with your finger.
MAX Factor Rosewood
You’ll very quickly realise I’m a major nude lipstick fan and this Max Factor nude is honestly so close to my natural lip colour, making this perfect for those days you don’t want any colour but you need a lipstick to finish off a makeup look.
Dior Addict Pink Heiress
If you’re a fan of brown nude’s you’ll love this one. It’s so incredibly moisturising and lasts a surprisingly long time. This shade is a slightly browner version of my lip colour and is perfect for a simple nude lip.
Clarins Joli Rouge Chestnut
I’ve never been crazy about brown lipstick. I always felt they were way too dark on but something about this one I love. It’s a super creamy formula with no scent (If you read my prep your lips post, you’ll understand why that’s a good thing). It’s last a long time but isn’t drying in the slightest.
L’oreal Color Riche Scarlett Creme
Who doesn’t love a good red lip?! I know I do. When I’m stumped on creating a makeup look I always fall back to a good winged liner and red lip. I find it quite difficult to find a red lipstick that I like as they tend to have a tendency to be extremely drying but this one is really nice when on.
