Many people like to cover themselves up with a variety of hair and makeup techniques. From lashings of makeup, to hair extensions down to your bum or pearly whites to blind anyone they meet. And don’t get me wrong, I love being glam from head to toe. But sometimes I’m just far too lazy. Which is why it’s so important to embrace who you are and enhance your natural beauty. Here’s some things I like to do to embrace a fresh, natural look.
Take Care of Your Skin
The skin is the largest organ in the body, and it’s something that most people will notice when you’re interacting with them. If you take care of your skin, you’ll glow and look so healthy. If you neglect your skin, you might begin to look tired, dull, and even older. Create a sustainable skincare routine that you feel happy to stick to. Ideally, this should include cleansing, toning, and moisturising twice a day. A few times a week you can exfoliate and apply a face mask too. If you’re consistent and use products suited to your skin type, you’ll notice a huge difference.
Make Hair Removal A Doddle
Finding a way to make hair removal easy is a great way to enhance your natural beauty. Laser hair removal can be great for areas you’re sick of shaving/waxing. You can get a permanent result if you’re consistent with treatments. If you’d rather, you can also use cream to dissolve the hairs and give a smooth finish. It depends on the your hair type and how long you want it to last.
Treat Your Hair
Having naturally smooth, shiny hair is a sign of great health. Treat your hair from time to time with oil and hair masks. I recommend coconut oil as it’s super cheap and really effective. Make sure you don’t wash it too often, and don’t use too much heat on it. Always protect it with heat spray if you plan on using heat on it. You can’t undo damage once it’s done, so avoid it! If you plan on wearing hair extensions, make sure you make them look natural.
Avoid Wearing Too Much Makeup
Don’t wear makeup to cover up your face. If you don’t need a full coverage, don’t wear a full coverage. If you don’t need to wear it all over your face, don’t do that either. Only apply makeup where you feel you need it in order to enhance. You can go for more dramatic looks if you’re going out, but for everyday wear, natural looks are best.
Eat Right and Exercise
What better way to enhance your natural beauty than to eat right and exercise? Take a look at your diet and see where you can improve. Make sure you know what kind of food you should be eating – usually, natural foods are best. Find a type of exercise you enjoy and include that too.
Smiling is a sign of confidence – everybody looks better when they smile! Make sure you smile where possible and people will begin to take notice of your natural beauty.
