In one of my recent posts Everyday Skincare Products And Why We Should Be Using Them, I briefly mentioned my love for Frank Original Coffee Scrub and said it really deserved a post all on it’s own. So here it is! Now you may have seen Frank being mentioned a whole load on social media, primarily Instagram with pictures of all these bronzed models covered head to toe in what looks like coffee and some seriously impressive before and after shots of various people with reduced cellulite, scars and stretch marks. This was how I was sucked in and at £11.95 I figured I would give it a shot.
Frank’s Original Body Scrub is an ‘original, special blend of natural ingredients that will scrub away dry, flaky skin and target pesky skin conditions like cellulite, stretch marks, eczema and psoriasis.’
Frank’s comes in a resealable bag and smells relatively strongly like coffee.. So if you don’t like the smell of coffee, maybe this isn’t for you or at least block up your nose while using it. The instructions say to apply this 3-5 times per week in any areas that you may want to target, however, I personally didn’t have anything that I wanted to specifically target so I just applied all over my body as a scrub once a week. I’ve become a big fan of using this body scrub to remove my fake tan and it does an amazing job at doing this. One thing you do need to be prepared for is the mess that comes with it. You will have brown water and coffee scrub all over your shower. BUT I can assure you it does just rinse away and does NOT stain.
One thing that may put people off using this scrub is it can be a bit of a process. Especially if you have any skin conditions that you want to target, the instructions recommend getting your skin all wet, turning the shower off, rubbing the scrub is circular motions over your body and then leaving on the skin for 5-10 mins before rinsing off. While this may seem like a bit of a marathon to complete 3-5 times per week, remember this is for specific areas that need targeting like scars.
Overall, I’m really enjoying this scrub. I love the smell, it exfoliates the skin so gently while still removing all remaining fake tan and thanks to the sweet almond oil it leaves the skin feeling extremely moisturized and soft. One thing to remember though is if you are using this as part of your fake tan routine, you will need to wash the oil off with a regular body wash first or the oil may act as a block.
At £11.95 with free shipping to the UK I would definitely recommend you guys trying this out if your looking for a gentle but effective body scrub. One thing to keep in mind though is this is made in Australia, so you do need to be prepared for it to take a while to be delivered to you if you live in the UK like me!
