For me, there’s something incredibly fascinating about looking back through the decades and seeing how much things have changed. Technology, science and our knowledge has advanced so much and along with that style, fashion and makeup trends had all evolved with it. Yet what I love is being able to look back on classic beauty icons and still be in awe of their beauty and style. So today I thought I’d share with you guys some of these beautiful women from decades past who have shaped my own personal style into what it is today.
1920’s – Louise Brooks
Louise Brooks was an American actress and dancer, who was responsible for popularizing the bobbed haircut.

1930’s – Marlene Dietrich
Marlene Dietrich was a German-American actress and singer and was well known for dressing in men’s clothing, something that was extremely taboo at the time!
1940’s – Rita Hayworth
Rita Hayworth was an American actress and dancer and was the top pin up girl for GI’s during the second World War!
1950’s Audrey Hepburn
A list of style icons wouldn’t be complete without including Audrey Hepburn. Audrey was a British actress and humanitarian best known for her parts in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and My Fair Lady.

Jane Russell has always been this huge inspiration to me. She was a total bombshell and I loved her in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”. I loved your list. There are a lot of lovely women on here.
