Ahh.. the famous Kardashian Kontour..(see what I did there, eh?) You either love it or hate it but one thing you can deny is Kim Kardashian really rocks it! As much as some people hate to admit it, Kim is a major style icon of our time and other than a few hiccups along the way she’s pretty bang on trend! Β She’s brought contouring out the the drag shaped hole it lived in and into the mainstream makeup brands, where both cream and powder contour shades are in abundance.
As someone who discovered contouring a few years ago, I’ve narrowed my extensive highlight and contour products down to just a few of my absolute favourites!
The Contour

Sleek Contour and Blush Palette – This was my first contour palette and was perfect for breaking me into the world of contouring slowly! It has a contour shade, a highlighter and a blush so you have everything you need in one convenient palette to create your desired look! If you want to dip your toes into the now massive pool of contour products, I would definitely recommend this! It’s cheap and easy to use, so it’s ideal for practicing with!
Nars Laguna Bronzer – Does everyone remember the Nars Laguna craze that went around the internet? Everyone and their mother ran out to purchase this bronzer and I was right there with them! As someone who is very easily swept up in hype around products, I’m often left disappointed when trying new things.. However, Laguna did NOT disappoint! Β It’s incredibly easy to use, takes ages to use up and is a shade that will suit a lot of people!
Elf concealer palette in dark – This is the newest edition to my contour family and so far I’m really happy with it. The concealer palette comes with 4 shades so it’s ideal for creating your perfect shade. You just apply the product to the areas you want to contour and blend out with a stippling brush. Another products that’s easy to use and blends out beautifully. Not to mention it’s so cheap!
Maybelline Fit me anti-shines stick in Soft Honey – This is my current go to product for cream contouring at the moment. As it’s in a stick form, it’s so easy to apply. You simply twist it up and draw on the areas you want contoured. As it’s a foundation it blends out so well and looks absolutely beautiful! However, due to it being a cream product you will need to set it in place.
The Highlight (Liquid)

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – Again this is another product I purchased due to the hype around it at the time, and I’m so glad I did! My major trouble area is dark under eye circles and this product is incredible at covering them up! I use the shade fair which is a shade or two lighter than skin tone and it brightens everything up wonderfully!
Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer – My holy grail foundation is Estee Lauder double wear, so it was only naturally I try out the concealer to go with it. This has to be my favourite concealer of all time. Again, I have the shade light which is a shade or two lighter than my skin tone. It’s very similar to the Collection Lasting perfection concealer just a little less drying under the eyes.
Benefit Moon Beam – This is a product I’ve had for quite a while now and still love just as much as the day I bought it. It gives a beautiful sheen to the skin and when worn on the cheeks, forehead, down the nose and chin underneath foundation just makes you look really healthy and dewy.
Elf Concealer palette in Light – As with the other Elf concealer palette, this is quite a new addition. It also has four shades so picking or mixing your perfect highlight shade is super easy! It’s really creamy and blends out well but as with any cream product you definitely need to set it in place.
The Highlight (Powder)
Accessorize Baked Bronzer Duo in Laguna – This was a product I was instantly drawn to as I scanned the aisles in Superdrug. This is made up of two sections, one bronzed side and one highlight side. I like to mix the two together and use on my face to bronze up and add a beautiful glow to the cheeks and forehead and then use the highlight side on the high points of my cheek bones. Beautiful!
Seventeen Gold Bronze Shimmer Brick – At the time of purchasing this product the Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks were all the rage. As Bobbi Brown was somewhat out of my price range at the time I decided to look for something cheaper. Then I found this one. I use this shimmer brick in a similar way as the Baked Bronzer however, this one doubles up nicely as eyeshadows as well! 3 uses out of one product!
Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter Peach Lights and Golden Lights – I think these may well be my favourite product out of this entire list and I don’t to say too much about them as I feel they deserve an entire blog post dedicated to them! So all I’ll say for now is Β£3 and amazing!!
What are some of your favourite highlight and contour products?
Love Benefit High beam as well. Thanks for sharing. xo
I love the Makeup Revolution highlighters so so much! I’ve heard mixed reviews on the Fit Me sticks though so I’m so undecided whether or not I want to purchase them! Love your blog xx
Oh really? Personally I don’t think I’d every use the Fit Me stick as an all over foundation but it’s really lovely to contour! π Thank you!! xx
This is very helpful π
I’m so glad! π x
I’d love to try the Benefit one, heard a lot about it! But I do love a concealer kit for contouring and highlighting. I find it can look more natural! X

I’d so recommend trying out the Benefit highlighter! It’s so lovely! π And it definitely look more natural, you can blend it out to almost nothing if you wanted π xx
Yes I will also one day try the Benefit ones. I think I have a mental block of trying liquid highlight. I have the Benefit – Girl Meets Pearl and never like my application whenever I have tried it. This is perhaps the reason I don’t go that route. But I have seen so many MUAs use the Benefit ones beautifully. Then I think, they can make anything work π
Great products.
I hope I can see it on actual.

I’ve just bought the Sleek Make up Contour and Blush Palette and I’m so happy to see that you’ve mentioned it in your list of favourites! I’m new to contouring so it really is quite intimidating but it’s such a relief to know I’ve bought the right product to ease myself into it π Thanks for the post!
Thank you for visiting my blog and for liking one of my posts! Blessings, Natalie π
