It was at 4.30am I hopped out of bed and on to a coach to head off to the Professional beauty show in London.
The show was held at the ExCeL which hosts multiple conventions every year including the London Super Comic Convention and Summer in the City. As soon as you arrive you’re greeted by the divine scents from multiple food stands inside a large hall. There’s something for everyone ranging from Costa to Subway and Italian to Chinese! (I strongly recommend the thai green curry from Chozen Noodle…delicious!)
After arriving we picked up a long black lanyard to display our tickets and made our way to the entrance. In all honesty, a mixture of a massive hall full of brands trying to promote their products and beauty professionals, students and beauty fanatics rushing around desperate to snap up the best deals was a little overwhelming.
Each of the stalls had been individually decorated to suit that specific brand. Some ranging from simple but effective to glamorous and extravagant.
The brands consisted of makeup, hair, spray tan, spa equipment, health and jewellery, so there really was something for everyone. As someone who was primarily interested in the makeup and hair I was disappointed by the lack of makeup brands, in particular the lack of makeup brushes. That being said I did discover some amazing finds.
